Position Purpose
The Security Architect at MDT ensures that security requirements are adequately addressed to protect MDT’s mission and business processes. Serving as a key technical advisor and strategist, this role partners with technology and development teams to ensure secure-by-design solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security controls for multi-cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Architect and deploy Zero Trust principles and frameworks to enhance system and network security.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with integrated security checks to “shift security left.”
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to embed security best practices into development workflows.
- Design secure SSO solutions with Identity Providers (IdPs) and directory services for centralized authentication.
- Support the administration of enterprise security infrastructure, including EDR, WAF, DLP, and Vulnerability Management.
- Conduct security assessments and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support security operations and incident response processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Expertise: Advanced knowledge of cloud service provider security policies and compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network security monitoring, two-factor authentication, and enterprise logging.
