Role Summary:

As the Head of AI, you will define, lead, and implement artificial intelligence roadmaps to enhance teaching, academic research, and global administrative processes. This leadership role pairs extensive technical AI execution with an understanding of academic lifecycle frameworks to drive digital transformation and improve student retention outcomes group-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Strategy & Architecture: Design and execute GEDU’s global AI roadmap aligned with academic metrics and business operations.
• GenAI & Model Deployment: Build, fine-tune, and deploy predictive and generative models for student support, automated content creation, and analytics.
• Enterprise Integration: Integrate production AI pipelines smoothly into primary campus software stacks, including LMS (Moodle), CRM (Zoho), SIS (Thesis), and data warehouses.
• Data Engineering & MLOps: Establish structural governance, feature versioning, and secure data handling patterns adhering to global frameworks like GDPR and FERPA.
• Academic Enablement: Support teaching and operations staff in leveraging AI workflows for course design, grading mechanisms, and personalized learning pathways.
• Governance & Trust: Champion responsible AI execution, building frameworks to manage bias detection, model explainability, and data masking.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience Level: Minimum of 10+ years of professional work experience in engineering and systems deployment.
• Technical Stack: Mastery of Python, deep learning engines (TensorFlow/PyTorch), Azure OpenAI APIs, and orchestration layers like LangChain.
• Systems Mastery: Advanced familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), ETL pipelines, SQL, and robust API development.
• Domain Knowledge: Prior familiarity managing higher education workflows (timetabling, retention tracking, student lifecycle) is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or an equivalent STEM field.
