Job Description

Division & Team Overview

The Adobe Developer Platform (ADP) team builds the tools, APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and runtime infrastructure that enable third-party developers and internal teams to extend and integrate with Adobe’s ecosystem. This includes core properties such as Adobe Developer Console, Developer Distribution, App Builder, I/O Events, Developer Docs, and Adobe Exchange. Acting as the connective tissue for Adobe’s developer community, ADP powers high-performance developer experiences at developer.adobe.com.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Computer Scientist I) to join the ADP organization. In this role, you will own end-to-end feature delivery across the full technology stack—from responsive, accessible React frontends to robust Java/Node.js backend microservices and serverless cloud deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and ship end-to-end features across ADP surfaces, including developer.adobe.com, Developer Console, and Adobe Exchange.
  • Build modern, accessible UI components in React while designing and implementing the supporting backend REST APIs.
  • Develop scalable backend services using Java and Node.js on cloud platforms and serverless environments.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and code reviews, establishing rigorous engineering standards across the stack.
  • Investigate production issues, optimize system performance, and maintain operational excellence.
  • Author automated tests and contribute to shared UI component libraries, documentation, and CI/CD workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience with 4–6 years of professional full-stack software development experience.
  • Frontend Proficiency: Strong hands-on expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
  • Backend Mastery: Solid server-side development experience using Java or comparable backend environments like Node.js.
  • API & Web Standards: Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs alongside a strong grip on HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Working knowledge of modern deployment practices on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Adobe’s React Spectrum design system or modern design component libraries.
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless runtimes (e.g., Adobe I/O Runtime), or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to developer-facing platforms, CLIs, developer portals, or API ecosystem tooling.
