Nearly 200 team members from top companies and universities work remotely across the globe. The Platform team is responsible for backend services such as payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, TTS, and APIs.
Overview
This role is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has experience building delightful user experiences. Speechify values technical excellence, strong communication, and results. The interview process includes multiple technical rounds and is completed within one week.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal APIs (Payments, Subscriptions, Auth, Consumption Tracking).
- Enhance and optimize backend API landscape for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise clients, focusing on integration and customization.
- Align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience.
An Ideal Candidate Should Have
- Proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required).
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
- Strong prioritization and execution skills.
- Preferred: Docker and containerized deployments.
- Preferred: High availability deployments on Kubernetes.
