Our group’s focus is to build and manage solutions, supporting Apple’s multi billion dollar B2B Business. This position will provide architecture, design and development opportunities across multiple projects.
Description
This position is for a hands-on technical expert in MDM and Data Quality (cleansing / standardisation and matching). You will work on key MDM projects that help to maximise the business outcomes with improved data quality, integrity, visibility, and accuracy. You should excel in diagnosis of hands-on problem-solving. You should be willing to learn and build solutions using SaaS products. You will help build our next generation server-side software stack that will deliver scalable, highly reliable solutions. You will have passion for technology and willing to work in fast paced environment. You will interact with other internal and external groups to bring to life a full end to end solution that delivers the simple, secure and elegant experience to Apple customers.
Responsibilities
We are looking for great Engineers who are equally comfortable working at the foundational level and designing state of the art applications. The role requires flexibility to work on both custom data solutions and established MDM/ ETL tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience as a Data Engineer in designing and developing scalable enterprise grade solutions and working complex mission critical projects.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced queries, performance tuning, and optimisation.
- Experience with relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc. and data warehousing platforms.
- Solid understanding in data modelling, database design, and data pipeline development.
- Knowledge in PL/SQL and ETL/data quality solutions.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, Ansible or similar.
- Intermediate programming experience in Java or Python and Web Services.
- Understanding of data security, quality, integrity and lifecycle principles.
- Ability to work on high-volume large scale applications.
- Ability to adapt to custom data and MDM/ETL tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and tools.
- Experience with Informatica, Stibo, Reltio, Talend or similar.
- Experience with data governance, metadata management and data quality frameworks.
