Role Summary:
As a Software Engineer within the Developer Platforms team, you will design, build, and operate core platform services spanning the entire application lifecycle. You will engineer Azure- and Foundry-native integrations with partner technologies (such as MongoDB, Elastic, and Datadog) while embedding AI into developer workflows as a foundational building block.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, deploy, and maintain AI-powered cloud services end-to-end across the full DevOps lifecycle.
- Build cloud-to-edge capabilities, including Azure resource providers, data-plane integrations, and management portals.
- Develop AI-enabled engineering tools to optimize testing efficiency, quality analysis, incident triage, and developer productivity.
- Apply telemetry, metrics, and customer feedback to guide platform evolution while upholding live-site availability.
- Incorporate Responsible AI, security, compliance, and privacy practices as first-class engineering requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience building production software using C#, C++, Go, Java, or Python.
- Fundamentals: Strong grip on computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithm design, and systematic problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience operating in Linux environments or working with open-source communities.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or equivalent) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
